The Small Print for Players

These terms apply to everyone who reads Trickoteka Games Journal. The list is brief, as the journal itself is brief in what it does: we write, you read. Continuing to use these pages means you agree to what follows.

1. What the site is

Trickoteka Games Journal is an information site. We explain how games, bets and everyday money habits work. We do not run games, accept bets, hold deposits, sell products or provide accounts of any kind. Nothing on the site is an offer or an invitation to gamble.

2. Adults only for gambling content

Articles about casino games, slots, poker and sports betting are intended for readers aged 18 or over, or the higher age that applies where you live. If you are under that age, please leave those sections alone.

3. Your local law comes first

Gambling rules vary widely, and in some countries online gambling is restricted or banned. Explaining how a game works does not mean that playing it is legal for you. You are responsible for checking and following the law in your location.

4. General information, not advice

Our articles on money, debt, budgeting, habits and health are general guides. They do not take your personal situation into account and are not financial, legal, medical or psychological advice. For decisions that matter, speak to a qualified, independent professional. Any examples with numbers are illustrations, not forecasts.

5. No guarantees of outcome

Games of chance are designed so that the operator keeps a margin over time. No article on this site promises or implies that you will win, recover losses or earn an income from betting. Please read Keep the Game Fun before you play anything for money.

6. Accuracy

We take care to get things right, but rules, terms and laws change, and mistakes happen. If you find an error, tell us through the contact page; our approach to fixes is described on When We Update a Post.

7. Links to other sites

Certain Trickoteka articles carry a link to a third-party website. We do not control those sites, and a link does not mean we endorse everything on them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave.

8. Copyright

The text, layout and graphics of this site belong to Trickoteka Games Journal or are used with permission. You are welcome to quote short passages with a link back to the original article. Please do not republish whole articles without asking first.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from the use of information on this site, including gambling losses or financial decisions. Where the law does not allow a limitation of liability, none is claimed here.

10. Changes to these terms
